Daily Inventory
Part of Step 10 — read the full step
A Tenth Step nightly inventory is a few honest minutes at the end of the day, looking back at where we were resentful, afraid or harmful, and what we're grateful for. The Big Book suggests it at bedtime (page 86). Here it's five questions, about three minutes, and we can text it to a sponsor or keep a PDF.

A simple daily inventory
Five questions. Takes three minutes. Today’s answers stay on this device and clear at the end of the day. Writing it down shows us things we miss when it stays in our heads.
Consider sharing this with someone — your sponsor would love to see it.

Common questions
- What are the Step 10 nightly inventory questions?
- The five we use here are: Where was I resentful today? Where was I afraid? Where did I cause harm? What am I grateful for today? Where did I show up for someone else? They follow the Big Book's review of the day on page 86. Many sponsors use their own list, and that's fine.
- Is what we write saved?
- Today's answers stay on this device and clear at the end of the day. This tool has no AI and nothing we type is saved on the site's servers.
- Do we have to share it with a sponsor?
- No. When we're done we can send it by text or WhatsApp, keep a PDF, or just close it. Many of us find that telling someone we did it keeps the habit honest.
- Can we do it on paper instead?
- Yes. A notebook works just as well, and there's a free printable sheet with the same five questions. What matters is doing it most nights, not where we write it.
